Radiant...

I sat there with your text for an hour tonight

Trying to think of a word to describe you—

To rival your use of a language I claim to love

but clearly know nothing of.

And I concluded that indescribable is

a bad excuse for lack of vocabulary.

I don’t know if this is right;

But it hurts when I think of you, so it must be, right?

To be so unsure of where I’m going,

but to go there because I have no choice;

Just like when I told you what I was feeling—

because I felt those feelings and I at least have a voice.

But you smiled

—Against all of my miscalculated odds—

And you looked at me.

Your smile could’ve fuelled a thousand planes

and circled the world with hope.

Your eyes gleamed:

A torch beam,

A laser stream,

A super-solar flare.

I looked back at you for a moment,

Found myself lost;

Forgot I was even there.

Time comes for us all eventually,

but if we’re lucky, it hands us to people like you!!!

True Love

When I first met you
I felt something was different
I knew you felt it too
But I didn?t know how to handle it
It was something my heart, never knew
So I couldn?t accept it

As time went by
I went along with it, but at the same time
I felt like I could fly
It was such a mystery to me
But I didn?t care
I knew eventually that I would see

Now for the first time ever
You had opened my heart
Something no one else could do, and I mean never
It was such a wonderful start
To a path I never wanted to part
Wow, I thought, I want this forever

We were two wholes combined
The last link in a chained circle
To a complete happiness together
It seemed as though our souls had rhymed
It was simply the best
I couldn?t have imagined anything better

Although there were times when we would fight
It would always work out for the better
Because we were just so tight
Nothing could stop us, not distance or time

Bird

It was passed from one bird to another,the whole gift of the day.The day went from flute to flute,went dressed in vegetation,in flights which opened a tunnelthrough the wind would passto where birds were breaking openthe dense blue air -and there, night came in.

When I returned from so many journeys,I stayed suspended and greenbetween sun and geography -I saw how wings worked,how perfumes are transmittedby feathery telegraph,and from above I saw the path,the springs and the roof tiles,the fishermen at their trades,the trousers of the foam;I saw it all from my green sky.I had no more alphabetthan the swallows in their courses,the tiny, shining waterof the small bird on firewhich dances out of the pollen.

Sitting here,

Nobody to talk to,

Drifting away to a world

Your smile,
so innocent and pure.
Your hands lifting me of the ground.

And a voice that makes me shiver from delight.
Your lips,
so warm and tender,
Saying words that make me blush.
The sunshine reflecting on your skin,
The wind playing with your hair,

Trying to memorize why I feel like this
